Now you’ve read all about us, why not come and join us for a weekend to see what it’s really like? The best way to really find out what it’s like to do this great hobby is to experience it for yourself and now that’s really easy to do with our online joining system. (See below for a ‘How To’ guide)
Lots of people like to start off by coming along to an event as a temporary member which gives you a better idea of what it’s all about without any commitment; if you enjoy it, you can then easily join up as an annual member for the rest of the season.
Annual Membership
Of course, if you’re already sure you want to come along more than once, you’re welcome to jump right in as an annual member straight away.
The 2027 annual membership fees are as follows:
- New Family Membership – £69 (TWO adults and their children under the age of 18.)
- New Standard Membership – £49 (ONE adult and their children under the age of 18.)
You can also apply for Temporary membership for a SINGLE NAMED Sealed Knot event:
- Family Temporary Membership – £30 (TWO adults and their children under the age of 18.)
- Standard Temporary Membership – £20 (ONE adult [i.e. 18yrs & older] OR single parent with children under the age of 18.)
An extra £10 fee is charged if adding a 16 to 18 year old for whom you do NOT have legal guardianship to any of the above.
Students can remain on their parents Family/Standard membership if they are in full time education and provide a scan of their Student card when submitting their membership application.

Sign up and pay online and you’ll be ready to go.
If you email our Recruitment Officer (info@newcastlesfoote.co.uk), they’ll be able to give you all the information you need and support you through the process.
ONLINE JOINING Instructions
Go to https://skmembership.wildapricot.org and click the JOIN US NOW button.
Select which type of membership you are applying for, fill in all your details, including the regiment you wish to join, which will be “NEWCASTLES – Royalist”. If you’re applying for a temporary membership, you will also need to select the name and date of the event you would like to come along to.
You can choose which Arm, Pikeman, Musician, Musketeer etc. you wish to serve as if you already know.
Complete the online form and make payment.
Your application is then forwarded to the commanding officer of our regiment to accept you. Once the assent is given then the membership is processed, and your Membership Card is posted or Temporary letter emailed.
If you join us at an event in the early part of the year as a temporary member and then decide to join us for the rest of the season, we can arrange for you to pay a reduced annual membership fee, please contact us first.
This reduced annual membership fee only applies if you convert from temporary to annual before July 1st, after that date you can convert to a half year membership at the following rates.
- Half Year Family Membership – £48 (TWO adults and their children under the age of 18.)
- Half Year Standard Membership – £33 (ONE adult [i.e. 18yrs & older] OR single parent with children under the age of 18.)
